It was originally launched in 1929 as the Shree Mumbai Jain Yuvak Sangh Patrika and was rebranded as Prabuddha Jeevan in 1953. Although this organization was founded by Jains, Prabuddha Jeevan is dedicated to promoting humanism and is open to people of all backgrounds, without regard to caste or religion. The magazine is intended for readers of all ages, aiming to spread good thoughts and foster goodwill among its audience.
